King Ecbert and Ragnar meet and he asks him what he is still doing in Wessex. King Ecbert offers Ragnar to offer land if we help him in his projects. Then, a warrior of King Horik warns Ragnar that Jarl Borg is taking possession of Kattegat. Ragnar rushes off and quickly returns to Kattegat to rescue his family. King Horik remains in Wessex with Æthelstan. Rollo, Siggy and Ragnar's wife Aslaug are hiding in a house in the mountains, but Aslaug doesn't like the place. Rollo tries to assemble other men to retake Kattegat. Ragnar arrives and reunites with his family, Rollo tells him that there are not enough men to face the Jarl Borg. At the same time Æthelstan is captured, but he is saved by King Ecbert. Lagertha, Bjorn and other fighters team up with Ragnar to overthrow the Borg Jarl.
