    Aslaug gives life to a child with a bony foot deformity. Ragnar persists for the child to be killed, because he will have no fate in the Viking community. Aslaug doesn't want to listen to her and she decided to protect her son. Ragnar then calls him Ivar the Boneless . Later, Lagertha returns to Kattegat with her freighters and fighters. Meanwhile, in Wessex, King Ecbert receives the arrival of Princess Kwenthrith of Mercia, who is at war with her family after killing her brother. With preparations for the accomplishment complete, the Vikings return to Wessex. Ragnar sends Torstein to warn King Ecbert of his coming, but without discussing it with King Horik and Lagertha. Some time later, Aethelwulf gives Ragnar back the bracelet he had given to Æthelstan. On the way back, Aethelwulf's team is attacked by Horik's son, leaving only Aethelwulf to escape.
