Þórunn in vikings : Who is she ? Presentation and Appearance

Introducing Þórunn in the Vikings series
The famous Vikings series was produced in Scandinavia at the end of the 8th century, its creator aiming to reproduce the life of the Vikings at the time of their conquest of territories. Indeed, this mission was not easy since the historical accounts of the Vikings lack proof. Fortunately, the British producer is not discouraged and asks for the help of a historical adviser to give substance to his series. Obviously, the series contains some historical inaccuracies but that's not so bad!
Who is Þórunn?
Þórunn appeared at first as the slave and household servant of Ragnar Lothbrok and his wife Aslaug. When she is serving at a dinner party, the slave accidentally spills water on Björn who is Ragnar's son. After Aslaug gives him his freedom, Þórunn becomes Björn's wife and gives birth to their daughter named Siggy Björnsdottir. But their relationship turned to disaster after the warrior Þórunn was badly injured in battle and left a large scar on her face. This scar she kept destroyed her and leads her to push Björn away, she even ends up leaving Kattegat leaving everything behind.

How is Þórunn?
Þórunn had gone from a slave, to a free woman, to a shield warrior. A former slave and servant, she already dreamed of becoming a great warrior, and she had Lagertha as a model to follow. Being a proud and independent woman, she wanted to be recognized for her own qualities and she wanted to prove her courage and abilities on the battlefield.

After being trained by Lagertha, she became a warrior and took part in a battle during which she was seriously injured. On the verge of death, Þórunn was saved anyway but still bears a large V-shaped scar on her face.
