The Vikings series presents us with characters as attractive as they are pleasant. Among the strongest and bravest is Leif. A great character that I invite you to discover.
Leif is a character present in season 1 of the series Vikings. He first appears in the episode "The Expedition" and for the last time in "The Sacrifice". The role of Leif is played by Diarmaid Murtagh. In short, we see it in 6 episodes.
Leif is a loyal friend of Ragnar Lothbrok. As a brave warrior and trusted companion of Ragnar, he takes part in two raids into England.

Leif fights valiantly at his side. During a pilgrimage to the temple of Uppsala, Ragnar planned to sacrifice Athelstan for the gods. However, he cannot be sacrificed, as his faith was not sincere. Leif then volunteers to take Athelstan's place. He sacrifices himself so that the gods do not punish men for their infidelity.
Considering it an honor, he gives his life for the good of his friends and all Vikings. Before stepping onto the sacrifice table, Leif nods and gives a final smile to his companions.
