Ivar buries the Seer's body on the sly, then pretends to know nothing about the Seer's disappearance. In England, Heahmund abandons Lagertha, as he thinks he has a vision of hell and believes that Lagertha never loved her. Alfred orders his soldiers to arrest Lord Cyneheard for treason and Judith punishes him. Harald and his army have arrived in Wessex. Ubbe goes to talk with Harald, offering him some money. Magnus arrives in Wessex and warns Harald that Alfred and Ubbe are going to set him up. Harald's soldiers are surrounded by a fire started by Ubbe. The English kill Earl Olavsonn. The Vikings are pushed aside, but Gunnhild kills Heahmund first and captures Bjorn. During the battle, Lagertha flees. Alfred celebrates his victory, then Judith lets him know that his brother is the leader of the plot.
