In England, Judith dies. Ubbe duels King Frodo and wins the fight, but he is badly hurt. During the fight, Ubbe was almost killed, but he called on the god Odin and he realizes that his real strength comes from the Viking gods. Ubbe has ceased the war, and Kings Angantyr and Hemming depart for Wessex with their faithful companions. Meanwhile, Lagertha recalls that after the fight, a witch cut her hair and says she will become a new person. In Kattegat, Freydis asks Ivar about his son's disappearance. King Harald, Bjorn and their soldiers make it through a storm to get to Norway. Harald is increasingly furious with Bjorn. King Olaf and his army march towards Kattegat.
