During the clash of King Horik and Jarl Borg, Ragnar takes the side of King Horik, while his brother Rollo fights on the side of Jarl Borg. Several of King Horik's warriors are killed and Floki is also hit during the battle. Rollo surrenders and says he can no longer continue the fight against his brother, who caused Jarl Borg to be defeated. Ragnar suggests King Horik and Jarl Borg make peace with each other and ally with him to take lands in the West. Ragnar comes home and mourns the death of his daughter.
