Ivar arrives in Kattegat and announces that he is the new king. Hvitserk and Ivar rejoice in their victory. Harald mourns Astrid's death and becomes obsessed with killing Halfdan. Rollo comes to Kattegat and Ivar tells him that Lagertha, Ubbe and Bjorn are nowhere to be found. Rollo assumes they've gone to the hut. Rollo recommends Bjorn and Lagertha to join France with him, and he admits that he is Bjorn's biological father. Bjorn refuses to accompany him and does not accept that Rollo is his real father. Ivar discovers Lagertha's hideout, but Lagertha and her faithful attendants have left the hideout. They strip a boat to go to England. However, in Island, the colonists chose to sacrifice Floki, but Eyvind's son, Helgi does not approve. Lagertha, Bjorn and Ubbe enter Wessex, they are quickly intercepted by Æthelred.
