Ragnar and his men take the Saxon villagers by surprise during a Sunday mass. Ragnar's men won the victory with few deaths. To protect herself, Lagertha killed a man who wanted to rape her. Arrived on the beach, the Vikings lead a battle against an army of King Aelle and win the victory. Back in Kattegat, King Ragnar is accused by Jarl Haraldson and then tried in the court of the Thing. At the same time Jarl Haraldson organized a scheme to seduce Rollo into giving false testimony to destroy Ragnar. But Rollo refused and Ragnar was acquitted. After an attack by the aggressors, in the middle of a Viking party, Erick is killed.
