With the attack on King Olaf's camp to save King Harald not having gone as planned, Bjorn finally agrees to meet him alone, on the only condition that he be provided with proof that Harald is still alive . On the other hand, the conquest of Scandinavia did not produce the expected results either. But contrary to what one might hope, disappointments open the door to rather unexpected horizons.
Apparently, Michael Hirst wants to make Bjorn king of his country , not just the city of Kattegat. He plans to bring together the leaders around him and even more surprisingly, it is Olaf who has the responsibility of presenting the project. Hvitserk is positioned at the head of a convoy supposed to take the Silk Road to negotiate commercial agreements and establish links with populations likely to ally with them . Ivar , he does not seem to be for this idea. Oleg even less. Appearing as a real obstacle, he launches his machine to create upheavals and the political game begins.
On the other side, Lagertha's sword must get back to work. The ex-warrior who is forced to take up arms again must organize the defense of her village against the brigands and looters who are rampant there. But despite his efforts, the brigands could leave a lot of pain and tears behind.
